Luke 15:3-7
3 So he told them this parable: 4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

PURPOSE

Flocks are created to meet the needs of the congregation so that no member is left Behind.

FLOCKS is an acronym that describes the goal of this ministry:

Fellowship

Our desire is to provide an environment for adults to build healthy, trusting friendships. This will not only occur during the FLOCK Meeting and functions but also through other special activities.

Leadership

Spiritual leaders are actively identified, developed, and utilized through their FLOCK. Each FLOCK leader is looking to discern and unlock the leadership potential of individuals in their Flock.

Outreach

Our FLOCKS become “on ramps” to help those within our church family become more involved. Each FLOCK can become an entry point for those who are seeking to take their “next step” in connecting to the Body of Christ.

Caring

FLOCKS provide a setting through which people can share prayer concerns, serve one another, and carry one another’s burdens. Compassion-in-action is the aim, reaching out to others in their time of need.

Knowledge

All new members will take a Welcome Class taught by our Pastor or his designee. Biblical instruction is one of the primary reasons for our FLOCKS ministry to answer any questions you may have biblically. If  your questions can not be answered, Flock Leaders will be your liaison to the Pastor. We desire to teach the Word of God in such a way so as to make it relevant and applicable to every person in the FLOCK.

.

Service

FLOCKS enable people to serve others’ needs in tangible ways by addressing any needs and concerns. Our FLOCKS also encourage brothers and sisters in Christ to discover their spiritual gifts, talents, and passion so they can use them in a ministry within the church. Feel free to call each other or your Flock Leaders at any time to share information about celebrations such as open houses, birth of a child, or a death in your family. Flock Fellowship Meeting are held a minimum of 2 times per year in person or on Zoom.
